It isn’t exactly a secret that junior attacker Mallory Toolan is one of the top goal-scorers in the section.
The High Point commit fought through the usual face-guarding tactics all week and still came out with several high-scoring performances, highlighted by her 200th career goal on Thursday against Briarcliff.
This week, Toolan put up six goals and four assists against Sleepy Hollow, seven goals and an assist against Pleasantville, five goals and an assist against Briarcliff and three goals against Westlake. In total, Toolan put up 21 goals and four assists on the week.
She currently has 76 goals and eight assists on the year, and takes the vast majority of the draw controls for her team.
Other notable performers this week that deserve a shout-out include Somers defender Diana Bradbury, who averaged over seven ground balls per game this past week; Bronxville’s Ellie Walsh, who put up 17 goals and four assists in four games; Fox Lane’s Cecily Wheeler, who dominated on draw controls; and North Salem’s Kaitlyn Murphy, who scored her 150th career goal during the team’s upset win over Lakeland/Panas.
