With the first week of practice in the books, I figured now would be a good time to post the team capsules I’ve put together. I reached out to all the coaches in the area looking for some information about their season this team. If you don’t see your team, tell your coach to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with a capsule following the format below.

Coach’s notes: Since we only have a few seniors this year, it gives us a great opportunity to develop our younger players. This season we are focusing on having a well developed team all around. Our schedule is a tough one, so we are making sure we are prepared to put up a good fight and get all the wins we deserve. This year will be Jaime Morris and Erin Kelly’s year to shine, as Jaime Morris is off to SUNY Oneonta to continue her lacrosse career and Erin Kelly is still developing as a player who is committed elsewhere! They both will be scoring threats, and their hard work and determination will help lead the team to a successful season. Claire Fox, an 8th grader from Tuckahoe, will be joining our varsity team. We look to exploit her speed and stick skills to pick up the pace of our play, as well as our three freshman, Emme DiPasquale, Skylar Capasso, and Karly Disanto. These young players’ speed and stick skills are crucial for our upcoming season and, although they are young, they are important to our success. As my first year as a varsity coach I am none other than excited for this season to begin. We’ve had a great few weeks of preseason and I know this program is about to take off from here. The combination of Brianna McCleary (28g, 3a), Georgia Schindele (10g, 9a) and Kerri O’Rouke (18g, 23a) will lead the offense on attack. Midfielders Julianne Harris (9g), Amanda Paul (8g) and Carmella Liscio (25g, 4a), all three-year starters, have strong two-way games. Graduation hit the Dutchies’ defense the hardest with the graduation of three starters. Tappan Zee will look to fill void at goalie with freshman Julia Kane.
