One game down, two to go. In case you were wondering, Rye defeated Albany Girls Academy 18-5 in the Class C game earlier today.

Update 37: North Rockland loses to Shaker 9-7.

Update 36: Despite open goal, Shaker won’t take a shot. Clock running out…North Rockland hopes are fading quicly.

Update 35: North Rockland running out of time…2:18 to play. Lonergan comes off to get the extra man on defense, but Jenna Fox gets a yellow card to give the Red Raiders one less player…

Update 34: Monaghan gets a free position shot on goal….shot is wide, saved by Morrison. Morrison has four saves in the sceond half.

Update 33: Monaghan picks up the draw…clocks ticking away…4:50 remaining…

Update 32: Time out North Rockland…..

Update 31: Sarah Cheney scores another for Shaker, assisted by Lynn Roberts, giving the Blue Bison a two-goal lead, 9-7, with 5 minutes remainng.

Update 30: Shaker giving North Rockland a taste of its own medicine by stalling, 5:45 left to play, North Rockland down 8-7.

Update 29: Marissa Hart scores off a feed from Anne Rehfuss to give Shaker a 8-7 lead with 9:37 remaining.

Update 28: North Rockland’s Monaghan gets free position shot…saved by Shaker goalie Morrison.

Update 27: North Rockland leaders so far: Monaghan, 3 goals 1 assist, Rau 2 goals, Lonergan 5 saves…

Update 26: Katie Lonergan makes a huge save…could have been back-to-back goals for Shaker…still tied 7-7 with 16 left.

Update 25: Lauren Smith scores her second for Shaker, ties the game once again 7-7 with about 16 minutes to play.

Update 24: Nicolette Bendertoth scores off an assist from Tara Monaghan to give the Red Raiders the lead once again, 7-6, 17:50 remaining.

Update 23: Julia Lennon of Shaker scores her second to tie the game 6-6 with 18:33 remaining.

Update 22: North Rockland pressuring Shaker….goalie is out of the net…Monaghan on the attack but drops it on a clean check by the Blue Bison.

Update 21: North Rockland’s Lauren Mazza finds the back of the net to give the Red Raiders a 6-5 lead with 22:14 left.

Update 20: Kaitlyn Rau brings her second of the game to tie 5-5 with 23:22 left.

Update 19: North Rockland’s Rau picks up opening draw to try and get the Red Raiders back on the board.

Update 18: Time running out…Shaker possession…North Rockland defense staying strong…we head into break with a 5-4 game with Shaker leading.

Update 17: Monaghan scores her third of the game on a free position shot, North Rockland only trailing by one, 5-4,  with less than two minutes til break.

Update 16: Lonergan stops another, her fourth save of the half. Two minutes left to play.

Update 15: Rau brings some life to North Rockland, scores her first with less than five remaining til break, North Rockland down 5-3.

Update 14: Shaker’s Lauren Smith adds one of her own…Shaker gets a 5-2 lead with 6:48 remaining til break.

Update 13: Shaker’s Anne Rehfuss scores to give Shaker a two-goal lead with just under seven til break.

Update 12: North Rockland trying to get a play going, Monaghan takes it herself but finds herself triple-teamed with 10:18 to play. Red Raiders attempt to get closer to the net, but Shaker recovers with 8:41 til break.

Update 11: Shaker making it very difficult for Lonergan to get a pass off to North Rockland girls…the Blue Bison showing some tough defense with 11:55 til break.

Update 10: Maddie Devine gets the ball in the pass-around, scores to give Shaker a 3-2 lead with 12:57 left.

Update 9: North Rockland turnover allows Shaker to grab the ball near Lonergan…Lennon looking for help…maybe she’ll just take it herself?

Update 8: Shaker possession with 15:24 before the break…Julia Lennon scores one of her own on Lonergan….game tied 2-2.

Update 7: Julia Lennon sets up Sarah Cheney for Shaker’s first goal of the game. North Rockland leads 2-1 with 17:46 left in the first half.

Update 6: Shaker takes a shot at Lonergan, saved in the cage.

Update 5: North Rockland’s Jenna Fox intercepts a pass from Shaker goalie Anne Morrison, paves the way for a second Monaghan goal. North Rockland up 2-0 with 19:14 in the first half left.

Update 4: North Rockland loose ball out of bounds, shaker ball with 20:58 on the clock. North Rockland recovers though.

Update 3: As predicted, Tara Monaghan is the first to score….North Rockland up 1-0 with 22:33 left in the first half.

Update 2: Shaker’s Maddy Smith picks up a yellow card two minutes in…North Rockland a man-up already.
