Eastchester 17, Westlake 7: At Eastchester, Laura McMahon and Janie Marcin each had four goals. Megan Maher had four goals for the Wildcats.
The most surprising result of the day in my eyes was Pleasantville’s nine goal victory over Ossining. Multiple coaches mentioned Ossining to me as a team to watch preseason, and the Panthers defeated them convincingly. This is not a slight to Ossining, but rather a statement from Pleasantville. In the only the sixth season of the program’s existence, coach Allison Steinberg’s team has made huge strides and is certainly a contender in Class C.
As for Ossining, I spoke with coach Dan Ricci tonight and he told me that it’s going to take time for his team to mesh. They graduated eight of their nine starters, and currently have 10 sophomores on the team. The potential is there, but they’re going to have to take their lumps.

I am going to try and redeem myself today…....
White Plains vs. Irvington, Irvington definitely has some players, but I really like White Plains defense, 12-6 white plains
Bronxville at Hastings, just going with the more talanted team here, Bronxville 14- Hastings 5
Edgemont at Ardsley, To be honest, I know nothing of Ardsley, and I am picking Edgemont just because I know they have a few players, Edgemont 11 – Ardsley 7
Yonkers at Mamo…...here come the angry bloggers as Mamo runs it up 22-2.
Suffern at Albertus.Albertus has 2-3 players that can really go, they also know how to coach and play the goaltender position, but unless Albertus got some transfers to help with depth, this is an easy win for the mounties, but they have too much class to run it up Suffern 14-4
CNorth at Nyack….While I will be rooting for CNorth, Nyack will put an end to their optimism, Nyack 15- Cnorth 6
North Rockland at TZ, I don’t like the match up for TZ, while this is TZ’s most talanted team in years, they rely on individual talent too much, and you can’t play against North Rockland like that, North Rockland 12- TZ 9
Yorktown, vs. Non-opponent, I guarantee you the Yorktown opponent isnt a pushover, some teams like to schedule their non-leagues against ridicoulosly weak teams, not Yorktown…..Non-opponent 18, Yorktown 13
