Girls lacrosse in the Lower Hudson Valley

All-star/All-county teams

July
10

Here are your Westchester/Putnam all-star and Rockland all-county girls lacrosse teams. Those pages will also link to the second teams, honorable mentions and the coaches panels. It’s always an incredibly difficult process to narrow down the field, but that’s good, since it shows how much talent is out there. Remember, the coaches had 50 all-section spots and decided that wasn’t enough, so they made a bigger all-Elite team. Well, I only had 24 spots (12 on each team).

The big news in Rockland was that Nyack’s Caroline Chesterman not only won girls lacrosse player of the year, she was also selected as the county’s athlete of the season. Anyone who saw her limping through a five-goal performance against Rye in the sectional final, including the winner in triple-overtime, will never forget it. Also congratulations to Jaimie Morrison of Yorktown, who was the unanimous pick for player of the year in Westchester/Putnam.

Why does it take so long for this to be published??? Also, what happened to putting it out on a Sunday when more people get the paper? Most of the people missed it in the paper and the others said the seasons have been over for so long, it doesn’t mean much. This is a shame! These athletes should be celebrated while in school, not in July when many are away and not interested anymore. Congratulations to all the athletes but your publisher should do something about this in the future.

The sport will not be the same without Caroline Chesterman on the field. A remarkable athlete and such an entertaining player to watch. Best of luck in Florida!

  6. Section 1 News

Yorktown ranked 20th in the nation by Lax Power:

    20. Yorktown (N.Y.)
The Cornhuskers (20-1) certainly had the offense. They won their first 20 games this year without a problem, but couldn’t finish the job, falling to Garden City, 12-7, in the New York Class B title game. That was their lowest offensive output of the season as Yorktown, couldn’t quite battle through the tough defense of Garden City—especially the Trojans’ relentless double teams. Yorktown was trying for its first title in three years. Five of the Cornhuskers are headed to Division I next year.

Hi, respectable article, you posted all the same if you don’t mind I’d sum few remarks around approaches young women or guys. Especially it can be powerful when it gets to man woman relationships. The main affair is your mental attitude, which should be strong and active. If you have an posture like that, any person shouldn’t see any difficulties that you have speaking as showing. When you originate a conversation, you ordinarily require to ask safe wonders that are trusted not to cause her any irritation. Once the conversation takes some momentum, you can ask more physical wonders. A good illusion is to memorize some enquiries she made a point of so whenever the conversation slows, you can raise one of these questions.

Hi nice post. I imagine these crowns might be structural too. Now the good pick up lines are the ones that flatter the woman. Straightaway some of the lines might just be in all pleasant fun to help discover the ice. That is rattling and it can ultimately lead to landing up in sleep together with her at the end of the night. Heck what man doesn’t want that, but knowing what to articulate and how to pull it off can catch a bit of employ. A essential pick up draw will take you in the door but from there you have to be assured sufficient to continue the conversation working.
