Girls lacrosse in the Lower Hudson Valley

Putnam Valley beats North Salem for first time

On Thursday I wrote this about the Putnam Valley girls lacrosse team:

Last season the Tigers started a varsity program – skipping the junior varsity level – and went 11-3-1. After graduating 10 seniors from that team, moving up two leagues and losing coach Kristen Bulkley, who gave birth to a daughter, the Tigers are again moving right along, sporting a 5-0-1 record. In fact, the only team that can stop Putnam Valley seems to be North Salem (7-1), which dealt the Tigers all three losses last season.

Anyway, Putnam Valley just got past North Salem 16-12. Tara Gleason and Ashley Morgan each had five goals and one assist in the win. Congrats.
