Courtney Miller, pictured above, scored seven of her eight goals in the first half as Greeley topped Mahopac 14-7. Here’s my story and a video of highlights shot by Dave Kennedy.

Greeley now has the upper hand for the No. 2 seed in Class B, since John Jay is still winless in the league. That would mean home field when those teams likely meet in the sectional semifinals.

Also, Mahopac has four girls playing college lacrosse next year. Caitlyn Corace at Keene State, Ashley Carey at Stevens, Emily Rogers at SUNY Geneseo and Emma Boehm at William Smith. I will be updating the previous post.

In the other power league game, Chrissy Gutenberger had seven goals and an assist as North Rockland defeated John Jay 15-8. Kirstin Lang scored five goals for John Jay. And Nanuet continued to roll through League I-B, defeating Scarsdale 16-8. Hannah Frey and Courtney McGrath each had four goals and two assists for the Golden Knights.
