The Pearl River girls know they need to get on a bus today after school and head over the Tappan Zee bridge to play top-seeded Rye in a Section 1 Class C semifinal…somewhere. As of right now, they don’t know where to tell the driver to go. I find this comical, but I don’t imagine the Pearl River people feel the same way.
Rye doesn’t have a field because theirs was flooded again, and they can’t use Rye Country Day like they did on Saturday because the RCD girls have a home game today. So now it’s game day, and they’re still looking for a place to play. The rumor right now is that it will end up being Blind Brook, but that’s not solid. I’ll update when I find out.

Daniel,
The game is definitely on at Blind Brook HS. It has been a horrible experience for both the Rye girls and boys teams having no field. They have played “home” games at Rye Rec Park, Rye Country Day, Rye Neck and Blind Brook….practice schedules have also been severely disrupted. If not for the kindness of the other schools it would have been a total disaster
I noticed you guys (Kiernan and Gutmann)never mention anything about Nanuet girls, they happen to be the #2 seed in the playoffs. Just thought I’d put in my 2 cents.
The Nanuet girls have not gone unoticed at all. They have been mentioned for the great season they are having after that horrible start and how they have pulled it together. Let them sneak in under the radar. Although the blip is getting bigger.
